Introduction

Welcome Welcome to Comite Pro Infancia Peruana (CPIP), a nonprofit organization that creates various projects to help children living in extreme poverty in Peru, especially those affected by national disasters, such as the cold wave that affected the Andean region of Peru in 2005 and the devastating earthquake in 2007.

Currently, CPIP includes other local organizations such as Las Hermandades of San Francisco, San Mateo and San Jose. Together they help assist each other in obtaining one common goal: raising funds for impoverished children in Peru. In that manner, we can dedicate attention to the education and the health of children in Peru.

Many of the members of these institutions are Peruvians who have come to this country to start a new life. However, they do not forget their roots and have hope that one day all Peruvian children will have the opportunity for a better quality of life and education. Our history tells us that Peruvians are descendants of extraordinary beings– the Incas, who were the protagonists of a very powerful empire. They were known for many things, including their wisdom. We hope to use this profound wisdom to bring help back to our homeland.

To meet its objectives, CPIP organizes an annual Pro Children Gala on the occasion of the Independence of Peru. With the help of sponsors, local organizations, and the Peruvian community, we have been able to execute this event successfully. This event is sponsored by the Consulate General of Peru, with headquarter offices in San Francisco, California. We invite you to join us in this cause!
